The HES Student Council attended the TEPSA Student Leadership Workshop to learn about leadership skills, effective communication, and community service. They represented Hempstead Elementary with pride!

The Boyz 2 Men Club hosted another inspiring guest speaker, Mr. Will, a Texas A&M graduate and long-time business owner. The boys learned about managing a franchise and received some tips for starting their own business one day.

Today, second graders had an exciting hands-on experience connecting with the myth of Demeter and Persephone! Students tasted pomegranate seeds, which symbolize Persephone’s connection to the Underworld and the changing of the seasons. This activity not only made the myth more tangible but also sparked meaningful discussions about choices and their consequences.

HES showed our spirit all Homecoming Week!










The Spark! PK-12 Engineering Education Outreach program from Texas A&M University engaged our GT students in an inspiring, hands-on lesson about engineering and robotics this week. Students learned about the different fields of engineering offered at universities and about programming (coding) robots. Students had a blast when they were able to apply their knowledge and write code for their own robot, Ozzy!





Happy Friday, Bobcats! Students enjoyed extra recess as a reward for having great attendance!

On Monday, Hempstead Elementary's new club Boys 2 Men kicked off their first meeting. The club hopes to help boys become confident, respectful, and responsible young men. Through fun activities, team-building games, and community service projects, they will focus on self-confidence, respect, and building strong relationships with others.
