Today, HES was lucky to have Mindy Faulkner, a geology professor from Stephen F. Austin University, visit our 4th graders! She shared her expertise on minerals, rocks, and fossils in such an engaging way. The students learned how rocks are formed and even had the chance to make their own fossils, which will be turned into plaster casts! 🦖🔬 Mindy also showed them a variety of rocks through a microscope, letting them see the details up close. It was an amazing hands-on experience that sparked curiosity and excitement about the natural world! #LearningIsFun #GeologyRocks #STEMeducation
