HES Black History Month Program 2024 was a huge success! Thanks to all who participated and supported!

February is Love the Bus Month! We love our Hempstead ISD bus drivers who get us to and from school safely every day!

95% average attendance for a week earned each student an ice cream sandwich treat at lunch!

We are 100 days smarter at HES! Students celebrated with a 100th day parade and Valentine's Day parties!

All aboard the party bus! Students who sold 15 items or families who sold 20 for PTO's Big Kahuna fundraiser were invited to ride a party bus to a special lunch at Pizza Hut!

SFE staff treated Mrs. Collins's 1st grade class to a special edible project - dirt pudding! They won this prize by winning a cafeteria guessing game, and assembled this snack while learning about the layers of soil.

Join the Waller County Public Library tomorrow for the Love Our Library event from 4:00-6:30. Readers are leaders!

We love our school counselors, Ms. Campbell and Ms. Sanders! Thank you for supporting both students and staff with their social-emotional learning and health - you are appreciated!

PTO is meeting on Monday, February 12 in the HES cafeteria. See you there!

Teachers and staff were treated to their favorite Sonic drinks for having perfect attendance! #WildAboutLearning #HigherHeights

Our #HempsteadReads partner, Melissa Hegemeyer, Realtor, is hosting a Once Upon a Valentine Story Time from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, at Hegemeyer Realty & Associates, 820 13th St. There will be book readings, Valentine's photos, snacks, and crafts! Children can come dressed as a prince or princess.
We encourage you to bring a book donation for (ages 3-5) for the book drive. This initiative supports the district's early literacy initiative through Hempstead Reads. Book donations will be donated to Hempstead Early Childhood Center.
HES teachers are making and implementing targeted plans to grow their students. Kids learn best when working on the specific skills they need to be successful! #HigherHeights #WildAboutLearning
