We hope everyone enjoys a fun, safe, and relaxing week with your little ones. 💛 Please note that March 16 & 17 are Student Holidays — there will be no school for students on those days. 📚💚 Wrapping up an amazing Read Across America Week! Today we dressed in green to celebrate the classic Green Eggs and Ham. It was the perfect way to end a week full of stories, imagination, and a love for reading! Our students had so much fun showing their school spirit and celebrating books together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special! 📚💚 ¡Cerrando una increíble Semana de Read Across America! Hoy nos vestimos de verde para celebrar el clásico Green Eggs and Ham. ¡Fue la manera perfecta de terminar una semana llena de historias, imaginación y amor por la lectura! Fun Fridays start tomorrow! ✨ Families are welcome to eat lunch with their tiny cat and enjoy some quality time together. Day 4 of Read Across America Week was all about dreaming BIG! 🌟📚 Inspired by Oh, the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss, our students dressed up as what they hope to be when they grow up. From future doctors and teachers to athletes, artists, and more, it was amazing to see their goals and aspirations come to life! We can’t wait to see all the incredible places their dreams will take them. 📚 Family Reading Day at Hempstead ECC TOMORROW📚 Dear HECC Families, We are excited to invite you to join us for our Family Reading Day TOMORROW during the school day! Parents and family members are invited to come read, learn, and participate in fun literacy activities alongside your child. ⏰ Event Schedule: 8:30–8:55 AM – Parent Check-In 9:00–11:00 AM – Reading Rotations & Activities When you arrive, you will sign in and receive a rotation schedule. Families will rotate through different classrooms in small groups. 📖 What You’ll Be Doing: During each rotation, you and your child will: Listen to a story read aloud Participate in a hands-on craft connected to the book Play literacy games Sing fun reading songs Engage in interactive story activities Each session will last about 20 minutes before moving to the next classroom. Today was Crazy Sock Day inspired by Fox in Socks during Read Across America Week! 🦊 We rocked our silliest socks and had so much fun with those tricky tongue twisters. Today was the start of Read Across America Week and we kicked it off with Pajama Day! 📚✨ Nothing better than cozy PJs and a good book to celebrate the love of reading. Our students had so much fun diving into their favorite stories and enjoying a comfy day at school. 💖 Sweetheart Dance Fun at HECC! 💖 Our students had a wonderful time at yesterday's Sweetheart Dance! 💃🕺 They danced their hearts out, popped bubbles, and enjoyed tasty snacks with friends. 🫧💌 It was a day full of smiles, laughter, and sweet memories. 💕 💖 ¡Diversión con el Baile de los Enamorados en HECC! 💖 ¡Nuestros alumnos se lo pasaron genial en el Baile de los Enamorados de hoy! Bailaron con ganas, hicieron burbujas y disfrutaron de deliciosos bocadillos con sus amigos. Fue un día lleno de sonrisas, risas y dulces recuerdos. 💕

💌Our Sweetheart Dance is happening tomorrow during the school day! 🌹This special event is for students only, and we’re ready for lots of smiles and fun. Students are encouraged to wear red, pink, or hearts to join in the celebration. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up and dancing the day away! ❤️🎶 💌 ¡Nuestro baile de San Valentín se celebra mañana durante el horario escolar! 🌹 Este evento especial es solo para estudiantes, y estamos listos para disfrutar de muchas sonrisas y diversión.
