
Community Use Guidelines of Bobcat Stadium Track:
Our district is proud to provide community access to the outdoor track for walking and wellness. Thank you for helping us keep it safe and respectful for all.
🕓 Public Hours:
- The track is open from dawn to dusk when school is NOT in session.
🚫 Closed to the Public:
- During the school day
- When used by district athletic teams
✅ Track Guidelines:
- Walkers and joggers only—no bikes, scooters, or pets
- Please keep the track clean and respect the space
- This is a tobacco-free facility
- No glass bottles allowed
- Yield to student-athletes and staff when present

Hempstead ISD Athletics is hosting an extracurricular activity physicals event TODAY from 2:30 to 6 p.m. The cost is $20.

The Superintendent’s Higher Heights Award is presented during the monthly Hempstead ISD Board of Trustees meetings to selected people or groups who have made a significant difference or contribution to Hempstead ISD. The award is available to employees, community members, businesses, volunteers, students, etc.
Nominations may be submitted anonymously, by groups, or by an individual. Hempstead High School proudly hosted its annual Academic Signing Day, honoring graduating seniors in the Class of 2025 who have committed to pursuing college, career, or military pathways after graduation.
Students were recognized individually as they crossed the gym floor, announcing their future plans, whether they are enrolling in college or trade school, beginning careers in high-demand industries, or enlisting in a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. The celebration included cheers from family members, peers, and staff applauding the students’ dedication and next steps.

Today, 4th graders in Ms. Bustos class went on an exciting “Travel Around the World” math adventure! Students visited different “continents” by solving math problems. It was a fun day of learning, problem solving, and global exploration.






Last Friday, our Bobcat Band celebrated the end of a dynamic season with their annual band banquet.








We are very proud of our Hempstead High School Softball Team for making it to the playoffs. ✨What an incredible season! ✨

HHS students in Ms. Duncan’s ESL class have been diving into the powerful story of Esperanza Rising. The students have connected with the characters and their journey. To bring the story to life, they created beautiful yarn craft dolls inspired by events from the book.








Hempstead ISD schools and buildings will be closed on Friday, April 18, for a student/staff holiday. Classes will resume on Monday, April 21, 2025.
