Hempstead High School celebrated an unforgettable Homecoming 2026, filled with school spirit, tradition, community, and an exciting Bobcat football victory.
The past week was filled with activities that brought students, staff, families, alumni, and the Hempstead community together. From dress-up days and the Homecoming parade to the pep rally, Homecoming Court, and Friday Night Lights, the spirit of Hempstead High School could be felt throughout the week.
The celebration reached its peak Friday night as the Hempstead Bobcats took the field for their Homecoming game against the Scarborough Spartans. In front of a packed Bobcat Stadium, the Bobcats delivered an impressive performance, earning a 65–29 victory over Scarborough.
The win provided the perfect ending to an already memorable Homecoming week. The Bobcats demonstrated hard work, determination, teamwork, and pride throughout the game, making their school and community proud.
Hempstead High School would also like to extend a huge thank you to the community, families, and HHS alumni who showed up and showed out to support the Bobcats. The stands at Bobcat Stadium were packed, and the energy and school spirit could be felt throughout the entire stadium.
Seeing generations of Bobcats come together to support today's students is one of the things that makes the Hempstead community so special. To our alumni, thank you for coming home and continuing to represent the green and white. To our parents, families, community members, and supporters, thank you for filling the stands, cheering loudly, and reminding our students that an entire community is behind them.
Our students see you. Our coaches and staff appreciate you. And Hempstead High School is grateful for you.
Homecoming was also a special opportunity to recognize two students who will forever be part of Hempstead High School history. Congratulations to the 2026 Homecoming King, Dylan Garfield, and the 2026 Homecoming Queen, Kenadie Anderson. Hempstead High School is proud to have Dylan and Kenadie represent Bobcat Nation and hopes this special honor will be a memory they cherish for years to come.
The 2026 Homecoming celebration was more than a football game. It was a celebration of the students, families, alumni, traditions, and community that make Hempstead High School special.
It was a reminder that this is community. This is tradition. This is Bobcat Pride.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in making Homecoming 2026 one to remember. From those who participated in the week's activities to those who packed the stadium and cheered from the stands, every person helped make the celebration special.
Hempstead Through the Ages. Bobcat Pride Never Dies. Once a Bobcat, Always a Bobcat.
And as Hempstead High School continues moving forward, the Bobcat community remains united in Transformation in Progress—Together, Building Excellence!
