Reminder: Hempsead ECC Presents: A Sweet Heart Dance, Saturday, Feb 10th, 4:30-6:30 at the Bobcat Den. $5.00 at the door.
Our #HempsteadReads partner, Melissa Hegemeyer, Realtor, is hosting a Once Upon a Valentine Story Time from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, at Hegemeyer Realty & Associates, 820 13th St. There will be book readings, Valentine's photos, snacks, and crafts! Children can come dressed as a prince or princess.
We encourage you to bring a book donation for (ages 3-5) for the book drive. This initiative supports the district's early literacy initiative through Hempstead Reads. Book donations will be donated to Hempstead Early Childhood Center.
Another field trip packed with fun yesterday for our HECC students!
This week P is for Pumpkin! A pumpkin was smashed and the students were able to investigate what was inside.

Hempstead ISD schools will return to normal operations on Wednesday, January 17. All schools and facilities will be open. We want to remind our Bobcat Families to please dress your students appropriately for the cold weather. Please stay weather aware, dress warm, and be safe as you travel.
🚨WEATHER UPDATE: Out of an abundance of caution, and the extreme weather conditions, all Hempstead ISD schools and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, January 16. We will continue to monitor the conditions regarding decisions for school on Wednesday, January 17, and will let you know as soon as possible.
