Join Hempstead ISD for the annual Christmas Tamalada and Pupusada, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, at the Hempstead Elementary School Cafeteria, 1340 13th St. Hempstead ISD families are invited to get in on the tamale making and learn from veteran tamale makers, who are volunteering their time to teach those in attendance. Each family will take home tamales and pupusadas. Free childcare will be provided for children ages 4 and up. Únase al Distrito Escolar Independiente de Hempstead (Hempstead ISD) para la tradicional Tamalada y Pupusada Navideña, el sábado 6 de diciembre, de 10:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m., en la cafetería de la Escuela Primaria de Hempstead, ubicada en 1340 13th St. Las familias del Hempstead ISD están invitadas a participar en la elaboración de tamales y aprender de expertos tamaleros, quienes compartirán su tiempo como voluntarios para enseñar a los asistentes. Cada familia se llevará a casa tamales y pupusadas. Se ofrecerá cuidado infantil gratuito para niños de 4 años en adelante.
