Hempstead Bobcat Athletics is hosting a mandatory parent meeting for middle and high school students interested in playing football this school year.

Important Back to School Update for Parents and Students. New Cell Phone Policy to be Implemented 2025-2026 School Year!
A new state law, House Bill 1481, will require Texas school districts to prohibit student use of personal communication devices (cell phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches) during the school day starting in 2025-2026. Our district is working on a plan that supports learning, minimizes distractions, and ensures safety.
The Hempstead ISD Board of Trustees will approve the district's new cell phone policy during the regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday, July 21. More details on the new cell phone policy will be shared in August. Thank you for helping us support focused learning!
Back to School Transportation Update: If your student requires a special stop request, please contact your child's campus by August 6. Regular Transportation Requests should be completed during your online enrollment or annual update in the Parent Portal.
