National School Counseling Week highlights the impact our school counselors have in helping students succeed academically, plan for college and careers, and grow socially and emotionally. Every day, our counselors make a difference in ways you may not always see, guiding, supporting, and advocating for our students.

After assessing all Hempstead ISD schools and facilities, it has been determined safe to reopen and resume district operations on Tuesday, January 27. This decision was made after careful monitoring of road conditions and guidance from local authorities. We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, at the normal start times. Bobcats, please bundle up and dress warm, as temperatures will be cold in the morning.
Weather Update: Due to expected winter weather conditions, all Hempstead ISD schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and this decision was made after careful monitoring of the latest weather conditions.
All scheduled activities and events on Monday have also been canceled. We encourage families to stay safe and warm during this time.
