The Hempstead High School Band made history.
For the first time in Bobcat History, the Hempstead High School band was awarded UIL Sweepstakes for the 2025-2026 school year. The band recently participated in the UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest at Brenham High School.
The Band was evaluated in the Concert portion of the contest and earned a Division 1 Superior Rating. They proceeded to the Sight Reading portion of the contest and earned another Division 1 Superior Rating. Since the Marching Band earned a Division 1 Superior Rating in October and during the UIL Marching Contest, the students were awarded a UIL Sweepstakes
The award-winning Bobcat Band continues to raise the bar each year.
