Hempstead ISD would like to recognize nine Hempstead Elementary School students who have been identified as National Math Star nominees. The students were recognized as outstanding mathematicians who scored in the top 90% of the nation on the NWEA MAP math assessment.
The students received an official National Math Stars nomination, letter, and a medal. The students will now have an opportunity to apply for a 10-year math enrichment program.
