The Learning & Leading to Higher Heights, five-year strategic plan was unanimously approved by the Hempstead ISD Board of Trustees at the June 12, 2023 board meeting.
The development of this strategic plan was driven by extensive community and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that the priorities identified align with the aspirations and needs of the Hempstead ISD community. The resulting plan reflects a shared promise to students, assuring them that opportunities for success will be created to enable their growth and development as confident learners and leaders in all future endeavors.
Learning & Leading to Higher Heights encompasses a range of key components, including a newly developed vision and mission statement, district beliefs, objectives, goals, and profiles of leaders, educators, and students. This plan ensures that all aspects of the educational experience are considered and addressed to propel Hempstead ISD to new heights of achievement and excellence.
"This strategic plan represents a significant milestone for Hempstead ISD. It not only sets a clear direction for our district but also strengthens our collaborative commitment to the success of our students," Hempstead ISD Superintendent Herbert O’Neil explained.
