Hempstead ISD invites parents, staff, students, and community members to attend the Resilient School Support Project (RSSP) stakeholder meeting from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, in the Hempstead ISD Boardroom. Lunch will be provided.
The Resilient School Support Project (RSSP) is sponsored by the Texas Education Agency, with technical assistance from Engage2Learn. RSSP aims to identify pandemic-related losses in student learning and strategically plan for acceleration strategies that will lead to higher levels of student achievement.
Over the last few months, a team of Hempstead ISD leaders have analyzed multiple sources of data and conducted various reviews of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices. After completing a strategic planning process, the District is proposing an acceleration plan for selected grade levels to implement this fall.
The District is seeking feedback from all stakeholders. During the informational luncheon, stakeholders will hear about the proposed RSSP plan for the upcoming school year and will have an opportunity to share their thoughts and perspectives with leaders.
The Texas Education Agency created the Resilient Schools Support Program in response to the pandemic. The program provided support and resources to help school districts better support students during unprecedented times.
Please RSVP by completing this form. Due to space constraints, registration will be limited to the first 20 people who RSVP.
