Hempstead ISD Accreditation Status for 2019-2020

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) awards an accreditation status to each public school district and charter school. The accreditation status is based on the academic accountability rating and financial ratings from the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas. A district or charter must be accredited by the state to operate as a public school.

Under the Texas Education Code, the commissioner of education annually assigns accreditation statuses to each school district and charter school. Accreditation statuses for the 2019-2020 school year include: Accredited (1,185); Accredited-Warned (6); Accredited-Probation (1); Not Accredited-Revoked (1); and Pending (1).
