Rated as the No. 88 Safety in the country by ESPN, Turner-Yell will be joining the Sooners upon graduation this year to play football under Coach Lincoln Riley.

Family, friends, coaches, teachers, and administrators were on hand to show support for Turner-Yell at the signing that took place during the NCAA Football early signing period in the HHS Competition Gym before the Christmas Holiday Break. Fellow teammates and classmates were also on hand to witness the event and show their support.

Prior to his signing, Head Football Coach Royce Hill spoke on Turner-Yell’s hard work and dedication that led him to the history making signing event. Coach Hill thanked Turner-Yell’s family and the coaches for the support and guidance they provided. “This dedication and commitment a lot of times goes unnoticed,” said Coach Hill.

Just a couple of highlights from his high school football career include 2017 District MVP and 2016 District Defensive MVP.

Turner-Yell plans to study business management while at OU with plans to be an entrepreneur in the future.
