This is the image for the news article titled Local Artist featured at the Waller County LibraryA local artist, Marla De la Fuente, is excited to be a featured artist at the Waller County Library and have several of her art pieces on display at the county library over the summer.

Marla, a student at Hempstead High School, enjoys drawing in her free time and says it helps her express herself. She has been drawing since she was in middle school. “I am inspired by the things I see around me and by some of my dreams,” she said. Her high school art teacher, Freddie Holman, encouraged and helped her assemble the exhibit of almost 20 pieces of artwork.

Some of the artwork on display includes characters from “Charlotte’s Web” along with musicians, animals, super heroes, skulls, monsters, holidays, and a baby.
