Back to School Information for 2017-2018

This is the image for the news article titled Back to School Information for 2017-2018The first day of school for all students at Hempstead ISD is now set for Tuesday, September 5th.

For safety reasons, please note that students at Hempstead Elementary may not be dropped off before 7:15 am each day and students at Early Childhood may not be dropped off before 7:30 am each day.

Schedule Pick-Up/Classroom Assignments:
High school and middle school students will be able to pick up schedules and elementary students will be able to pick up classroom assignments during "Meet the Bobcats" on Thursday, night, August 10 between 4-6 p.m. at Hempstead High School.

Meet the Teacher Night - August 24:
4-5 p.m. - Elementary & PK Campus
5-6 p.m. - Middle School
6-7 p.m. - High School

School hours for the 2017-18 school year:
High School: 7:45 am to 3:15 pm
Middle School: 8:00 am to 4:10 pm
Elementary School: 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
Early Childhood Center (PK3 & PK4): 8:00 am to 3:30 pm

Free Breakfast & Lunch for ALL Students:
All students (PK-12) will receive free breakfast and lunch this year. With the participation of parents completing the Free and Reduced lunch forms last year, Hempstead ISD has qualified to operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program to provide breakfast and lunch to ALL children at no charge this year.

Parents will not be required to complete the meal applications this year under the CEP program.

School supply lists for elementary and middle school have been posted as the following link:  School Supplies

First Day Forms:
Watch for first day forms during the first week of school. It is important that parents review, sign and return them as soon as possible.
