Kimberly O'Neill Recognized as Elementary New Teacher of the Month at HISD

As a new teacher of the month at Hempstead ISD, she received a #risktaker t-shirt donated by MaBisha Stubblefield (Bisha’s Bling), a Mary Kay gift bag donated by Jackie Craver and a certificate to display in her room.

“Ms. O’Neill is a wonderful asset to Hempstead ISD,” said Courtney Williams, Director of Special Education. According to Williams, O’Neill works closely with the general education teachers to provide support for the students who receive special education services. “Ms. O'Neill is eager to learn and wants the best for her students,” said Williams.

O’Neill is a new teacher at Hempstead Elementary who currently serves as a Special Education Inclusion K-2 teacher. “Ms. O'Neill is such a delight,” said Melissa Skinner, HISD Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. “She is always smiling and shines a positive light. She attends professional development and is willing to learn new ideas. We are so excited she joined the HISD team. ”

O’Neill is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is a first year teacher. “I feel very thankful and I am honored to have received this award,” she said. “I love working at Hempstead Elementary School with our amazing students.”
