2012-13 UIL Alignments Released |
The official football and basketball alignments for 2012-14 were released by UIL on Thursday, February 2, 2012. Hempstead will remain in Conference 2A Division I Region 4 District 14. The Bobcats will play Altair Rice, Edna, Hallettsville, Palacios and Vanderbilt Industrial in district play. In basketball, Hempstead will move to Conference 2A Region 3 District 24. The new district will include Anderson-Shiro, Centerville, Franklin, Hearne, Hempstead, New Waverly, Onalaska, and Trinity. |

UIL Guidelines Must be Followed |
”UIL rules do not allow “reward” type activities for specific groups. A luncheon, a dinner, a party that is targeted specifically to a particular team is against UIL policy and can lead to sanctions against the school district and to that particular team. Anyone wanting to do something for any program must be willing to provide for the entire school, otherwise we would be in violation of policy and there are plenty of people waiting to see how we handle all of this.” |
